Ian Harris - General Manager


Ian has been with the Trust since its foundation in 1994. Ian has a HND in Horticulture and has wide knowledge & experience in both the public and commercial sectors. It is largely through his inspiration and enthusiasm that the Trust has been so successful. Ian is strongly committed to working with people with disabilities.  


Nigel Higginson


Nigel
 is a qualified chef and has many practical skills.  He is versatile, resourceful and has enjoys working with the attendees.


Kirti Sime

Kirti's background is as a qualified teacher (P.G.C.E. Primary) & Horticultural Therapist. She worked for many years in a local primary school. She has a qualification in Agriculture/Botany, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Horticulture Therapy and has worked in many countries. The Trustees were pleased to enable her to attend a course at Warwick University where she gained the Diploma in Therapeutic Horticulture. Recently she attended a course in Industrial Floristry at Bicton College.  She also works in the garden, office & leads offsite activities.


Peter Swindell

 

Peter is a retired banker who now works two half days per week managing our Cash Account & is partly responsible for our retail purchases & is regularly aided by a couple of attendees on his shopping trips.     


Tony Potter

Tony is a s
upport worker with experience in Countryside Management. He takes small groups out for conservation work in the locality.


Pete Martin

Pete brings a wealth of horticultural experience and has been working with learning disabled adults since the early sixties.



Angela Bickham

Angela joined the Trust in 1998 as our book-keeper.  She works at the Trust on Saturday mornings and is otherwise employed, during the week, as an  Accounts Assistant.  She is a qualified Accounting Technician (AAT).


Wendy Cowen


Wendy joined the Trust in 2009.  She has a
 BA in Drama and has been a trained R.G.N.  Previously she worked as an assistant in a    pre-school classroom and as a respite carer for the elderly. Here at the Trust Wendy runs Art/Craft workshops, works in the gardens & helps with the catering.


The Trust also has a strong group of volunteers who help with work around the site; in the greenhouses and with the many tasks that arise from running a busy organisation.
